Genesis 2:15-17

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." (Genesis 2:15-17)

Three points:

1. God is a good teacher.

Don't ya think Adam understood? Sure he did. One law. One point to teach. It was clear.

2. God provides a test.

A good teacher will test his/her pupils to see if they have learned what was taught.

3. Adam failed.

God teaches us and tests us today. He has given us the Lord Jesus Christ whose words are in the Bible. His rules. His points He wants us to learn. Then...He tests us. Will we be true to what He taught us? Or will we fall? Most in the church today have fallen. Fallen with a false gospel and a false bunch of rules. God help us!
