Genesis 22:8

And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. (Genesis 22:8)

Three points:

1. Sometimes the godly life is tested.

Are we really a Christian? What better way to prove it then to test it. Abraham was tested, the Lord Jesus was tested, and all the saints from the first until now. A friend of mine has had a non-healing fracture of his leg. This has gone on for months. He cannot work, he cannot walk, he cannot do much of anything except sit. How is his faith? Strong.

2. Abraham believed God would take care of the problem.

Shouldn't we have the same attitude? Pray, then wait for the answer. It may be, "No" or "Yes". We don't know how God will answer, but He will.

3. They continued walking.

While waiting we still must go on living. No sloughing now; it is time to live. Keep the faith. Pray and wait. God values waiting.
